The Head and the Heart - Cats & Dogs

I love them.

Lights Out - Santigold

Tim Fite - No Good Here

The album version of this song is definitely one of my top 5 favorite songs ever. I just found this acoustic session from Bonnaroo a couple years back though, and I think I might be even more in love with him than I already was.

OMG. Why haven’t I seen this before?!

Well just because she feeds me well

And she made me talk dirty in a pink hotel

Doesn’t mean she’s got eyes for me

She might just want my bones you see

I haven’t been able to get this song out of my head for the last 24 hours or so. No matter how many times I hear it, I still love it.

happy birthday mom!

I actually like the girls of nonsociety. But at the same time, I really dislike them, and this video is pretty accurate.

I don’t actually expect anyone to watch this whole thing, but you should. You’ll pretty much fall in love, promise.

For obvious reasons, I’m a little in love with Margaret Cho.

They just put this up today!! I enjoyed this as much as cotton candy at the fair, and now I am sharing it with my friends (if you caught that, props!). Weird that Lilli and Claire Carre directed/drew everything though… Tim usually does his own drawings (which are hilarious and amazing) and Ryan Foregger usually directs. I actually don’t think I’ve ever seen a Tim Fite video where this hasn’t been the case. Oh well, change is refreshing sometimes, and Lilli and Claire do a fantastic job with this!

And obviously I have written about Tim before, but if you don’t know who he is, you should be ashamed of yourself! You really are missing out. I first heard about Tim about a year or so ago, via his Myspace when he was on tour opening for Ben Kweller (who I’m actually listening to right now), and I fell in like immediately. When I saw Tim play for the first time, it was pretty much love at first sound. Tim is known for his use of samples (he buys used cassette tapes at record stores and uses them in his music). He also is responsible for this (which you might remember from MTV). But what really attracted me to Tim Fite was his totally unique sound. It’s a fusion of alternative, country, and hip-hop. And it’s genius, like Gram Parsons meets Jay-Z.

If you like this, you can download a couple of his albums for free on his website. Enjoy!

I’ve seen this probably 50 times, and it still makes me laugh.
