This picture Colleen took of us in the back of the car might be the only photo taken of my Halloween costume. We might have been the most done up people at Pretty Lights, which was a little sad. It took three days for my hair to be back to normal.
McGee sent this in a message that said “check out the party monsters at :15”. That’s McGee (dinosaur), Maria (mermaid), me (angel) and Colleen (queen of hearts) dancing in the bottom left corner!
This is my “try real hard not to let an especially shitty work week reflect onto my personal life” face. This is the first time in months that I’ve been out of work on a weekend night before 3am, but instead of going to meet my friends, I’m going for a run and then going to bed. I’m off for four days straight starting tomorrow!
This past weekend was one of the most fun, memorable, and exhausting ones I’ve had in a while. Saturday afternoon was spent getting lost in Indiana, filling up flat tires, running errands, exploring the coolest party store ever, throwing things in bags, driving to Lexington, spray painting shoes, pinning streamers in hair, and applying false eyelashes. Saturday night was spent riding the school bus, dancing my ass off, exploring my brain, smiling, playing with light toys, running from the police that weren’t chasing us, and climbing jungle gyms.
This picture is from Sunday afternoon. Maria and I passed out on the sidewalk for most of the day.
gpoy: I’m exhausted and just got home from work at 4:50am but instead of going to bed I am sitting up waiting for Fatty to get here.
I just got home from work, and I am about to demolish this gas station dunkin donuts maple frosted donut. This picture is so dark you can’t actually tell, but it’s there. I wish I had some bacon.

3. a photo that makes you happy
This photo makes me all kinds of happy. Tim and I have been friends for few years, but this photo was taken on the night that we met for the first time. If I remember correctly, this was during my first semester of college, so the fall of 2007. I had heard Tim’s music a few months before this, and was incredibly impressed by him. So when he made his first (and to this day, only) musical appearance in my city, I was obviously there with bells on.
After the show, Maria and I decided to go talk to him for a bit. Our conversation started with his performance, then moved to the performance of My Brightest Diamond who opened for him (or maybe it was the other way around), then to some of the awesome drawings he had for sale, then to cool shoes, then to the Burlington Coat Factory, and then finally to riding bikes. At this point in my life, I did not know how to ride a bike (it’s a very tragic story that involves a brand new Spice Girls bike, and a popped tire). Tim was shocked by this revelation, but explained to me that I was in luck because he had a bike with him!!
For the next few hours, we rode around the parking lot of the venue while Tim taught me how to ride a bike, and three of us formed a friendship. I remember being high from that night for a few days, and it is still one of very favorite memories.

2. a photo of yourself a year ago
I believe this picture was taken Nov 22, 2009, so almost a year ago exactly. Whoa, that shit blows my mind… I feel like it was literally a month ago that Kelly and I got totally sloshed at the outside bar at O’Shea’s, met Kevin the bartender, and let Doug Funny’s parents buy our drinks.
When this photo was taken, I had just broken up with someone, and moved out of the apartment that we shared. I somehow ended up at that apartment on that night, and the next day woke up next to that someone. The morning found me feeling very hungover (maybe still drunk) and with a new, more realistic and logic based perspective on things. That newfound perspective has helped to shape the last year of my life more than I could ever explain. It is so strange to think about the dark, unhappy place that I was in a year ago, and how different it is from where I am in now. I was also a lot fatter, so thank goodness that’s changed. It’s been a fucking roller coaster of a year; but I feel like I have grown and learned so much that I am far from the person you see captured in this image, and that is a good thing.
And that was my daily dose of tmi.

1. your facebook profile photo
19 years old, sunglasses on inside, shit-faced at a place who’s known for having “burritos as big as your head”. Classy.
Drinking a whipped cream vodka White Russian in a dixie cup, watching The Big Lebowski, and making a game for Jordan’s baby shower called “Pin the Sperm on the Egg”. Best possible way to spend a Tuesday night.
